What is Gris Peg?
The medication is an antifungal type of antibiotic. It treats fungus infections, caused by tinea organisms, of the skin, hair, and nails. It is used for infections that do not go away when treated with antifungal skin products.

Take it at regular intervals through the day and night. For example 2 doses a day means one dose every twelve hours; 3 doses a day means one dose every eight hours. Do not take your medication more often than directed. Finish the full course prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better. Do not stop taking except on your doctor's advice.

What if I miss a dose of Gris Peg?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses. There should be an interval of at least 12 hours between doses.

Alcohol, barbiturate medicines for inducing sleep or treating seizures (convulsions), cyclosporine, female hormones, including contraceptive or birth control pills, primidone, warfarin.

Don't drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs mental alertness until you know how Gris Peg affects you as you may get drowsy or dizzy. Avoid alcohol drinks as they may make you more drowsy, and increase flushing and a rapid heartbeat.

Oral contraceptives that contain estrogen may not work properly while you take this medication. Use an additional method of birth control while you take Gris Peg and for 1 month afterwards.

To help prevent reinfection, wear freshly washed cotton, not synthetic, clothing. After bathing make sure your skin is quite dry. Fungal infections like moist conditions. Do not walk about barefoot. You can use an antifungal powder once or twice a day.

Keep out of the sun, or wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen. Do not use sun lamps or sun tanning beds or booths.

Can I overdose with Gris Peg?
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Where can I keep my Gris Peg?
Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
